Can someone pass on some advice to a learner blogger on the following please:
- Is there a 'counter' that I can download or 'bolt on' to my blog to measure traffic? FYI - my blog is created through a blogger account
- What is the best way to increase your SEO, is it by 'linking' to other sites or by making comments and refering to your site - in an ethical way of course, rather than just spamming? Any comments or hints would be welcome.
Thanks
Nathan

Hi Nathan. I don't see any links to your http://www.920.co.nz site on your blog. There's the mention in your About-Me sidebar block, but it's not a link. Every little mention helps SEO :-).
BTW, I had a great experience with Rob Mato. Didn't take on the offered jobs since I had better/faster-deciding offers that I'd applied for directly, but Rob was great to work with.
Sorry for this post being off-topic. I'm very uninterested in counting *my* site readers, so I've never looked into how to do it on blogger.com. Good luck.
Google reckons it's easy
If you've got some tracking or stats stuff on 920 it might be easy to add to here, say a customised 920 logo hot linked to the 920 site could be included in the stats tracking on the main site...
You can just add some HTML code to your template
eg
<img src="http://mesh.net.nz/cgi-sys/Count.cgi?df=920.dat|display=Counter
|ft=6|md=5|frgb=5;5;63|dd=V">
displays a nice counter image on my host. It's a basic counter - but by adding the url into my stats I can track browsers and referrers etc.
There are some instructions on this blog post on adding/ modding templates
